How do I test a fuel pump without installing it on the car?

 

all u really got to do is take a postive and negtive wire
and connect them to one post and the other to the other side of the pump
should be noticeable

and it should move the motor
take a bucket of water and just sit the rear part of the pump into it and watch the water squirt up

depending on the pump and flow

it should be a nice stream

yea i wouldnt run the pump dry if u wanna take a chance sit in a little gas but if you get a spark arcing out of the wires ur done
