Default Car want rev past 6500rpm

combo: gsr head on a b16a2 block.

ECU: pr3 reprogrammed by Erick's Racing...rev limiter set @ 9300rpm

vTEC pin is in A8 and is connected properly.

1. What would cause the car not to rev past 6500? I tried a buddies of mine pr3 reprogrammed by ERE and it only revved a lil close to 7k.

2. Would the VTEC solenoid be bad?

The oil pressure may be low due to lack of oil, or a clog in the VTEC solenoid filter. It is a possibility that the VTEC solenoid is bad, but they don't often go bad. Check your oil situation.
