Default Best Sounding Exhaust

Im looking around for exhausts and I was just wondering what manufacturers make the throatiest, nicest sounding exhaust systems. I think of a nice sounding exhaust as deep, throaty, and a little menacing, but not crazy loud. Or maybe where I can find sound clips of what they sound like. Thanks for your help

Once I heard that the N1 sounds like a hive of bees and its all buzzing and no throaty sounds. But thanks for your input

N1 style exhausts do tend to be a bit on the loud side. Look into companies like Hytech and Fujitsubo, they make outstanding exhausts that sound great.

Get a good header then have a cut out weleded in. Thats what I did and I love it. I keep it capped when I want it to be, but open it up on the weekends or sometimes during the week. It sounds better then any full exh. system I have ever herd and there is noticeable gains up top.

What stock piping would you be keeping if you got a cat-back?

At this point, you're really just going to have to listen to each one and decide for yourself. Out of the options listed, I personally like the Thermal the best, but you and I may not necessarily share the same taste.

I've got a Tsudo axle-back on my Del Sol Si. Sounds nice and menacing. But I've heard bad things about their cat-backs.

My favorites have always been Thermal, Apex WS, and Greddy SP. They're all pretty quiet when they need to be and are deeper than the N1 styles.

I like Magnaflow with custom piping.

If you search in the eg forum you will find countless threads on this that may help.

Seems like lots of people like RSR exhausts, but I thought it wasn't a popular brand until I asked you guys.
