What all 'Performance mods' to be combined with 60k scheduled Service
Cars is a 1999 GSR with 55k miles. Primamarily used for spirited daily street driving, with occasional Auto cross events
Example.
1) As part of the scheduled service, Spark plugs needs to be changed => Go for a NGK spark plug
2) Brake pads may have to be replaced....=> go for Axis ultimates brake pads
3) Air filter needs to be changed ..=> go for an K&N filter or a CAI
As the topic says, I am looking for mods that anyways needs to be done as part of the service or mods that are easier to do as part of the service....I am also looking for some approximate costs of the parts
Thanks for the inputs....

There aren't a lot of basic service items that are easily upgradable for performance. You've listed the basic ones. Air filter, spark plugs, brake pads. You probably aren't making enough power to justify going with a Toda/Power Enterprises timing belt. Like I said, there aren't a lot of things that you can do, when it's just a basic service.
I think as per the manual, they recomend timing belt change only after 100k miles....
Major things are the following
Oil, air filter
Spark plugs
Brake pads,
Engine coolant, Transmission and brake fluids
How good is gong for a NGK spark plug? any idea on the price? thanks

don't forget to put in a new fuel filter (nobody believes that it made my car a bit faster, or closer to stock anyway. maybe less restricted fuel flow? brown gas came out of my old filter).
and a valve adjustment
and make new ground wires all around
and inspect your engine mounts, especially front and rear

OEM fuel filter will be fine.
Another maintenance item is to check your power steering fluid. I just changed my fluid and the old fluid was black. You can change it by disconnecting the return line and adding new fluid. Or you could use a turkey baster and remove the old fluid from the reservoir, then add new fluid. You'll have to do the turkey baster method 4-5 times until the fluid is clear.

my radiator crapped out on me at 65,000 miles and I replaced it with a much nicer one from radiators.com. now my starter is acting funny (starts car with no problem but drive gear reluctant to move away from flywheel, gonna try to rebuild it). you might want to check those.
I've also changed all my vacuum lines. I was going to go with silicone replacements but plain hose was much cheaper. Also check all drive axle boots for rips.
And of course the dreaded cam seal leaks.
hope this helps.
Oh yeah, my thermostat also needs replacing.
