offset affect camber?
Well my friend just gave me his brand new tokicko springs/blue shock combo for free for my new 94 ls...after i battled the rear lca for about 4 days i finally got it out and got everything assembled...upon wheel installation, i noticed the wheels (some aftermarket (sears probobly) 14") had a offset of 30
...i jumped on the search and found out that was way too much...it doesnt stick out but it does rub the fender lining if i hit a bump...i was wondering if the wrong offset would affect camber? the rear wheels are fine, but the front seem to be cambered in...i'm trying to get some money and get some OEM wheels, but will have to ride on these wheels for now...

how low did you drop it? dropping the car any will give you more negative camber. thats pretty weird that yours is rubbing. its not supposed to rub. getting new wheels wont fix your camber. camber isnt adjustable on hondas/acuras. to fix a camber problem your going to need a camber kit for the front. washers/spacers in the rear can be used to adjust the rear camber. get an alignment to make sure your toe is proper.
i'm guessing it rubs because of the 30 offset...driving around last night i heard this grinding noise whenever i stepped on the gas pedal...i'm thinking my axles are shot? it sounds like its coming from the passenger side, but when i turn to the left (driver side) it clicks...i checked for greese and couldnt find anything...can anyone confirm this?

clicking while turning is without a doubt a busted CV joint. Change it before it breaks on you.
I know my stock 15x6 GS-R wheels have an offset of +45 I think, so +30 is definitely in the range of scraping the fender lip (sticks out farther than stock). I would put stock wheels back on if I were you.

yeah it does scrape on the lip when i hit a bump...and i wish i could put my stock wheels back on but the wheels came with the car when i bought it so i have no spare wheels...i'll either get a set of steelies or try to get something for cheap...
any idea how much i have to shave on the caliper for the HX wheels to clear?
also, so the grinding noise while pressing the gas is a sign of a bad axle?

ok i just checked both axles ane NIETHER have any greese around them...i checked they boots and they were still on tight and un-ripped...i dont know what else could be making that humming/grinding noise ONLY when i step on the gas...it cant be my wheel bearings cus as soon as i release the pedal, the car is quiet again...
anyone know what else it could be?
