1/4 mile
have a 2000 type r, went to the track about 1 month ago, ran a 16.0, there was another R running the SAME times as me, this was the track at palmdale, ca, ive never seen 1 stock type r hit a 15.8 or less. Could this be from the elevation?
i will run 15.2 all day at the drags and 15.00 only once can't seem to do it again. That was totally stock in ohio. Guys in cali have heard of running in the high 14's but u got the elevation out there affecting it.
i went to palmdale awhile ago and i was hitting a average of 15.6's-15.8's. i think my best was like 15.3 or 15.4, i forgot.it was my first time and kept spinning throught first gear. the less i stopped spinning the better times i got. I was stock. full interior and everything.i went when i was hot as hell. That **** sucked. im not sure what the elevation is exactly. im going to go back when i get new tires. a JRSC'ed gsr was doing mid high 14s when i went. its yellow blurs homie. that car is fast.

I live in Florida where we are at sea level but with a humidity level as high as the Rockies. I keep seeing posts of low 14 runs "bone stock" and am having a really hard time buying it. Given that I'm not the best driver in the world nor do I know my car as well as some of the guys in here, I do attest that a bone stock ITR with a good launch and good conditions can run mid-high to high 14s. I run 15.230 with a 2.337 60' and a low speed of 89.74 MPH. I've read claims of so called bone stock top end speeds in excess of 97 MPH and have a hard time swallowing it. These false stock times are giving novice dragsters false hope, and causing them to beat their clutch into the ground prematurely.
Realize that I'm not attacking anybody's word as to it being true that you got these times. I'm just saying that a stock, out of the box USDM Integra Type R will not run 14.2 1/4 mile times IMO.

Must be the driver.
Well, elevation make a big different, but 16s for a stock TypeR? There must be something wrong. Because I see stock TypeR run 14s or low 15s here in Van. There can't be a full second differences.

I ran my bone stock ITR in the middle of a FL summer and was able to manage a 15.0@93.7 with a 2.38 60' time. This was my first time I took my car down the 1320, and I am not the best driver as indicated above. So, as far as a good driver in a bone stock R hitting mid 14's with the right weahter, I believe it.

You're right mid 14s are attainable. NOT 14.2s and 14.1s. Not "bone stock" anyways. By bone stock I mean out of the USDM factories. Not JDM stock. By that I mean, no usdm Integras with JDM internals, ie. final drive. I know that because it is Honda OEM parts and come stock on the JDM ITRs some people would consider that stock. But it's not to US drivers that don't have the same internals. I know and have heard stories that the ITR engines get stronger as they go up in milage to about 30,000 miles, so increasingly better times are possible with time. That said, it will not equate to .4 seconds off the 1/4 mile time.

"bone stock" i went 14.7 @95, w/ the addition of a street slicks, apex N1, carbon fiber hood, H&R race springs i went 14.03@97mph,
p.s. it was also like 50 degrees outside too,

I believe it. That's an honest reply. Having run my car as bad as I did and still manage a 14.230 I realize that 14.5s and above are what people should expect out of a bone stock ITR.
I go to Palmdale probably once every month. It's elevation is 3,200 feet, so it affects times quite considerably.
Bone stock, I ran a pretty decent 15.19 @ 91.8 mph there.
With DC JDM 4-1, ice box, and exhaust, I ran a 14.85 @ 93.0 mph
At Fontana, where the elevation is 1,150 feet, I ran a best of 14.16 @ 97.0 mph.
All of the above were on stock tires @ 30psi.

I ran a 15.01@95mph at keystone on an 85 degree day, which is more than 3000 feet above sea level as well, with icebox as only mod. That was a fully-engaged start, no cute shifting etc...i don't drag race
ya palmdale sucks and the elevation has something to do with it. What they say is that it is almost a second higher then pomona. so if you think about it you were only really running 15.0 that is not that bad for a stock type r. the track at palmdale sucks i have a JRSC type r and im only running 14.6 at palmdale. That sucks but i went to pomona last weekend and ran a high 13.8 and i didnt change my car at all so it was almost a second less
I love elavation Debates!
I have the unfortunate luck to run at Bandimere speedway in Denver, it's at 5800 feet above sea level. Most Bone Stock R's run right at 16.00 at best "usually". I ran my car Bone stock with approx 3500 miles on it and my best was a measly 15.821 at around 89MPH. Thats the fastest stock type R run at Bandimere that I or anyone I've talked to has seen. I had really bad wheel hop and spinning off the line and a 2.4 60' time. I also weigh close to 200lbs. With a flawless launch and shifting, I'm assuming the absolute best possible I could get here is low 15.7's. That translates into a realistic 14.6XX at sea level.
Sorry for the long answer, I just hate altitude!

I ran a 14.49@97.35mph (usdm bone stock) the car had 1000 miles and I weigh 205 lbs. I believe that a 130 lbs person with good skills and low altitude can and would run a 14.3? easy !
correct me if I'm wrong !

The fastest track to run any FWD Honda is Island dragway in NJ (Papadakis & Kubo have both broken records there). Sea level, and great air. I've seen a bone-stock '97 ITR (w/intake resonator removed) run 14.4 @ 96 mph NO MODS!!! At Island. So it's safe to say that elevation comes into play with drag racing. My ITR ran 14.6 @ 95.8 mph at E-town with only an AEM CAI. Try that at palmdale!

Sup H-Pimp,
you remember me????anyways i can't go faster than 14.4 at Island, i like Englishtown better, but i can get a lot more runs at Island, so its a trade-off, get 3 passes and go faster or get 15 passes at 14.4???either way, i like to run my car
