Default How does 90-91 teg distributor fit 1'st gen b16 head?

Do only 2 of the 3 legs fit? I've heard that the 90-91 teg distributor is the same as the 1'st gen B16a. Who is running this setup? How does it fit up? Has anyone had any issues running this distributor on 1'st gen B16?
thanks

Running the 90-93 Integra distributor is usually only a temporary set up. Yes everything inside the 2 are the same (a few part numbers of on some things due to vehicle designation) and the only difference lies in the actual housing.

To make it fit the 1st gen. B16, the right arm (the one at about 4 o'colock) has to be machined, ground, off to the base. The reason behind cutting this is due to the vtec soleniod/pressure switch occupying the space where that bolt would go on the B18. The left arm doesn't line up either, so basically you can see why it's temporary....only one bolt holds it in.

If you study the 2 enough, and are careful, you can switch all of the LS internals into the vtec housing with little trouble.

Or you can just swap the internals of the 90-91 distributor into the burnt b16 distributor.

I know the coil & ignitor are interchangeable with the 90-91 Civic Si (D-16A6 motor) for sure - I have no experience personally with the rest of the components.

As for using the '90 Integra distributor, you can actually make this a more "permanent" solution by notching the bolt hole on the rear arm - this will allow you to use two bolts instead of one (so that the distributor sits flush with the head when tightened down), while allowing some room for timing adjustment.
I used bolts with integrated washers to spread the load as evenly as possible since on the rear leg, the recessed bolt hole in the head sits underneath the loop on the very end of the arm (hence the notch I made there - if you only leave enough room for the bolt itself, you will have no timing adjustment). Sit the '90 Integra distributor on the B-16 head, and you will see what I mean.
I did not have any issues running this other distributor while my original one was being rebuilt by Moto-Parts.com
