Turbo Kit for 92-95 EX coupe on a d16y8???

a buddy of mine has a turbo kit for a 95 civic ex, and i have heard that it will fit a 99 ex with the d16y8 and all i would have to do is swap intake manifolds to make it work........is this true or not????
