why? ls turbo or ls with vtec head

im thinking about putting a 91 ls engine in my civic. i wanted to know why does everyone almost always slap on a turbo with out making it v-tec first. i heard the engine does not run right when v-tec and turbo.

well several reasons, the combustion chambers on a vtec head up the compression, and all in all it's just plain cheaper to run a stock head aposed to a complete rebuild plus vtec head ect...

A vtec head is just for better gas mileage you can make a LS head flow just as good and if you have a turbo you probably don't care about gas mileage.
