like the large disc behind an 18" wheel, but i'm on my second set of rotors. thanks to a few hot laps at Laguna Seca and northern california freeway offramps. they get heat soaked too fast.

bigger rotors don't necessarily make for better stopping power...it's more a matter of your callipers...

even with stock calipers this kit will reduce stopping distance assuming nothing major is wrong with the braking system currently.

haha, I bet you I can outbrake any of you with a stock setup and better pads rather than an AEM setup

don't waste your money unless you are going for the "look" of it

Well Legend what pads do you use? Cause I would love better stopping power. I really dont care about the look. But I was going to by a big brake kit. But if it can be done stock why waste the money. I recetly put wagner pads on there ok. I had a cracked rotor from my antics.

you've always got such a hard-on to be correct urban, good for you, but I never mentioned what pads I was using, or what calipers, but you're right anyway, you can out brake me and everyone else with those silly AEM set ups....

part of the reason urbanlegend can stop in such short distances is b/c his car is gutted and light as hell...anyways, my setup which cost me less than $350 is legend 2 piston callipers on 11.2" rotors...also, i'm using axxis ultimate pads (which are a common high performance street/mild track pad)....stopping distance is noticeably shorter...

Is the Accord stock size 11.2", if not where can i get some those size or what brand are those and for what application? Is it also just a swap out?

the stock accord size is 9.5" or something small like that...i have swapped to accord v6 rotors from the 95-97 application...they bolt right in, but in order for them to fit the calliper, you will need to upgrade your calliper and calliper brackets...it is rather inexpensive and provides much greater stopping power...

a full write-up on the swap which tells everything you need can be found here:

Also I have heard that upgrading your stock brake lines will also increase braking power and create more consistant repetitive stops, it makes sense because the brake fluid heats up and the stock brake lines will expand causing more pedal travel. Since you will have everything taken apart it would be an easy upgrade. I would go with stainless steel lines along with some good aftermarket pads/rotors or go for a brake swap if you have drums in rear would suggest getting rotors in back, its an asthetic upgrade and a functional brake upgrade too. Good luck and hope this helps.

I have a stock braking system but with Hawk Pads, Goodrich SS lines and power stop rotors and it stops fairly well for what little it has in it, but the legend swap is the best bang for your buck.

I have Hawk pads on mine and it made a huge difference. I am gonna get Goodridge SS lines soon if i can ever get around to buying stuff again.

ok, im interested in making the 11.2" and Legend 2 pot swap, but heres the Q. I went on accordinglydon.com(by the given link) and they say use the 94-95 Legend gs coupe calipers. Does it really matter which year to use? I know the Legend was made from 91 up until like 97(?) so do we have to search for 94-95 Coupe calipers or anyone would do?

those years specifically, or else you will get the singly sliding piston that is available on the itr's, av6's etc...

just got to napa or autozone and they can usually get the remanufactured callipers for you...

dont u have to switch the calipers.. like have the "right" caliper on the "left" rotor and vise versa!? or else the bleeder valve will be up, making it hard to bleed!?
