Loss of Charge in battery?
My hatch can not hold a charge, I have to jump it. I think its my altenator however, when I charge my battery up and let the the car sit for a day or two its completelt dead.
I just need reassurance that my altenator is the one not functioning right, or if it could possibly be something else.
Thanks Dave

most likely the alternator. try this:
start the car and let it idle, pop the hood and disconnect the battery ground cable. if it dies out, replace your alternator. if it doesn't might be a bad battery.

Don't try that! You could possibly send a spike through your electrical system and fry everything. That's an old chevy trick. I didn't get where you are from. If it's cold there, the cold weather can drain your battery if it sits.

Also, if you have AAA they'll come check your battery and alternator for free - and if you buy a new battery from them ~$85 / 5yr warranty then you don't get a point used up by the visit. Also you don't get any points if you have battery probs in the next 5 years and call em up... For a little more than a normal battery its cheap insurance
