Default Need help with deleted power steering

I have a 91 DA that just got a b16a1 transplant without p/s. I know it needs aligned and a camber kit, but its a total disaster to drive right, incredible pull to the left. Just so you know all the facts, I also just added new struts and springs with the engine swap. I know this is a hard question, but I am wondering how hard it should be to drive this car right now, it feels terrible in the front end, I know the alignment will help, but does lack of p/s in this car make it go flying to the left?

I was also wondering what the better thing is to do as far as adding a looping kit, or finding a manual rack to put on it? Anyone know how much either of these cost in general?

Thanks for any help ahead of time, I am really out of my league on this one.

I don't think the camber and alignment will solve what your describing. It sounds like theres still fluid in the steering rack. The extra fluid would push the piston inside the rack more to one side, and that could be why your wheel turns left so hard. It's kind of hard to explain without a picture, but if makes sense if you know how rack and pinion steering works.

So if the above is true, would I want to remove any fluid or fill it up and try to put together a looping system? Or if I really want to run without p/s do I really need to find a non p/s rack? If that's the case does anyone where to find one and how much they should be?

Thanks

when does it pull to the left. my dads car pulls to the left and its stock with no P.S. The alignment helped alot. And if it pull when you push the brakes then try to bleed your brake system. 98ctr

So you guys/gals think I should start with a camber kit and an alignment before I worry about trying to modify the p/s rack? Does anyone know how much a rack from a non p/s civic would cost, and which years Civics racks would be compatible?

thanks

Unless your car is excessively lowered, I would skip the camber kit for now, and just have an alignment done at a reputable shop. The lack of PS shouldn't produce the "pulling" that you describe.

Its dropped pretty close to two inches. I thought about buying my new tires next week and getting the alignment done at the same time, but wondered would I have to re-align it I decided to add a camber kit in the future?

Yes, a camber kit would require another alignment.
