Default VAFC Installation Location, Need Ideas on Where to Move Mine >>>>>

My VAFC is currently mounted underneeth the radio but its awkward and doesnt stay in place. Can I mount it where the ash tray is? Anyone have some instructions or any other place I could mount it in a 00 Type R? Thanks

I have to be totally honest with you.

For the car show...yeah place the V-AFC in sight...

But for on the street....NEVER place that thing in site...under radio...on ceiling...on dash....no way. You are ASKING theives to steal your car...

Because people who have V-AFC's ussually have expensive motors. YOu put that thing in view...your asking to be a statistic.

The V-AFC serves no purpose whatsoever to the performance of your car after its tuned....it just sits there and glows...

Place it competely under the dash...or inside the glove compartment...or under your carpet in middle console area, left of passengers feet...

Wherever its impossible to see from view, inside the car or outside is best place.

When you dyno....just have it hanging loose out to tune...then strap it down totally hidden and forget about it.

The thing looks cool....but let me tell you....I bet the thieves think its COOL too...you are just putting a BIG blue target on your car.

I don't know...I am biased...I don't care at all for all those "looks" accessories..I just care about motors. Sleepers is my thing. Anything I can do to the car to not have other people stare at it. Thats the best logically.

Cop pulls up to give you a ticket...and looks in car and sees a big glowing blue thing hanging under the rear view mirror...

the next line will be:

"Pop your hood pal"

And off to the smog ref you go...all because of that thing. Too many reasons to have it in sight...
