removing: sound deadening left-over tar
if anyone has taken out their rear seats and trunk carpeting, theyll know where the annoying sound deadening is. on both sides of the trunk inside, and on both sides of where the rear seat was.
now i got off most of the top layer, but that damned tar underneath doesnt want to go anywhere, so my question. how in the hell can i get that off w/o 1. my car smelling like kerosene or gas and 2. w/o removing paint inside.
thanks.

Your car won't stink of the fumes if you let it air out a little and wipe off all of the chemicals, and an air freshener doesn't hurt either.
