Revved engine to 8595!!!
Oops!!! Damn high *** rev limiter! I mis-shifted a 1st to 2nd shift and bounced off the rev limiter which is set at 8500. The S-AFC recorded a peak of 8595.
The engine seems to be alright...and since it was a mis-shift and not a mechanical over rev (like going from 5th to 2nd) there wasnt much load I dont think...so I should be ok.
I have Crower Dual valve springs and TI retainers...so I mnot worried about valve-to-piston contact really...but my rods and rod bolts are stock...thats what worries me.

ahhh.............i remmeber those days........i've hit 8400-8500rpm on the stock bottom end a few times by accident........ya it's no good for the bottom end especially if you hold it there.....is should be "fine" for now but try not to let it happen again.
generally you want the accual fuel cut off to be 500-600rpm above peak power........so if you are making peak power at 7300rpm you should have a 7800-7900rpm cut off........i guess 8000 would be ok once you rebuild the bottom end......
