Smog REF HELP
I searched, but didnt come up with ALL the snwers i need. Basically, ny buddys rex is a test only car, and he has a b16a1. So rather then hoarding lots of money every year to pass under the table, hed rather go legit. OK, heres what i know so far:
Its a b16, so hed have to smog it as a 94-95 Del Sol b16.
That means geting a USDM Del Sol ECU
4 wire o2 sesnsor, stock intake and header, new cat
Its a 91 HF, so it had EGR from the factory, would we have to install an EGR valve on the b16?
THats about it i think, besides hooking up all the vacume lines like a Del Sol.

p30 ecu, obd1 dizzy (92-93 gsr), stock i/h/e, 4wire o2, and that's about it...you already got most of it covered....i'm trying to smog my b16 too...emissions are tough though.
they basically want you to convert the car to obd1
the engine must look and act like the del sol...
I know that may not help much, but it should get you on the right track

U dont have to run a stock intake and header if you dont want to, u can substitute CARB lgal ones from a 94-95 Del Sol. About the distributor, if u cant find one off a 92-93 GSR u can use an OBD-2 one, the only thing different is the plug.
in order for a b16a to pass in an ef, everything needs to be wired up OBD1. so you have to use the B16a gray plug dissy, usdm P30 ecu, OBD1 P30 intake manifold..4 wire O2 ect ect. well worth it

The distributor itself is the same, the only difference is the plug that connects it to the rest of the engine harness. It is a single plug versus 2 separate plugs on the OBD-0 white plug and OBD-1 grey plug dizzys. If u can get the other matching single plug off the original OBD-2 car's engine harness (that u r going to get the distributor off of), u can just use the single plugs. But most likely u wont get the matching single plug, so u can either source a matching set of the OBD-1 plugs or just reuse your white plugs from your OBD-0 dizzy/original engine harness and just match up color wires. Hell, you can even use individual male and female plugs too if you'd like.

YES, it has to look exactly like a del sol motor. There are slight differences between the PR3 and P30 manifolds.

ok to clear this up...is the motor out of a Del Sol? remember the motor has to be from the same year or newer. tranfer everything from the car to yours and its a go....
