94 Civic- windshield problem- can't find answer
I have a 94 Civic DX Auto Coupe. About 2 years ago, one of the bolts on my right windshield wiper would get caught and not work properly. When we took off the whole arm, the huge bolt underneath was rusted out. We left the left one (ghetto, I know) on because it worked. Well, about 6 months ago it started acting up. I could get it to work if I put it on real quick and turned it off. If I turn the wipers on for good, it gets stuck and throws itself by my window. We've tried tightening it. We replace the arm every year (wiper included). I don't know what to do to fix it.
Does it sound just the bolts? Motor shot on both sides now? Are there separate motors or the same? How do I get to them to check it out? Any good websites you can think of about this problem? How much for a mechanic to fix?
Thank you so much!

well it sounds to me like your motor's gone, though that would be weird, it isn't impossible.......go somewhere and have someone take a close look at them !

as you can see, there is only one motor for both wipers.from what i can gather from your description,it sounds like the splines where the driver side arm attaches are either stripped or damaged.this leads to the wiper arm slipping on the shaft.i'm assuming when it now acts up("If I turn the wipers on for good, it gets stuck and throws itself by my window")the motor is still working?you can buy just the motion assembly(part #11),which will also correct your passenger side problem.i got one from a junkyard for cheap for my car when the ball joints(#13 and #12)wore out and kept popping off.from San Leandro:
