This guy is trying to sell me a FI carbon fiber hood that he said had a scratch in it, which he had professionally filled and now the whole hood has been primered. Now you can't really see the CF design, but what's the hood ganna look like if it doesn't get painted?

 

I would be very wary. Check the underside to see if it is a true full cf hood or has a fiberglass backing/frame. Also check on weight. A painted CF hood like just like a regular hood though.

 

It will look just like a regular hood when you paint in.... inspect it good tho. Im in the processed of fixing one of my cf hoods, and skinning the other. Paint it to match the car and you'll really have the sleeper look.

totally.. that sounds fishy too me.. i would not buy it unless i saw it...

why would you primer a whole hood for a scratch?,.... errr.. maybe i missed something but that makes zero sense to me.

 

Man, that sux... I guess I shouldn't chance it then. It's just that JDMshit.com is back-ordered on 00 hoods, and I was hoping to get one sooner.

Makes alot of sense....maybe the seller had every intention of getting the hood paint matched and scrapped those plans and is instead trying to sell it.....
