I was at that TNT, guess there no love for the slowest car out there me. Tony Pegergon crew said "i had my slicks on the wrong way" There were only 4 imports out there.Car ran a 12.45@107mph all motor, not bad for 2100ft. it was cool though

It was a test session for the NHRA Powerade Series. Can't get better track conditions than that.

I like this pic from the testing session:
(Even though I was not there and this is not a Honda).

Another thing too, I couldn't imagine going 6.5/7 on a Harley drag bike.

HOLY CRAP! I thought it looked like a Pontiac Firebird at first...but now that you mentioned it, it does look like a Celica! What's in it?....a Toyota V8?

And imagine going 300+mph through the traps!

no it's a custom billet block and heads. i don't think you can associate tf with an actual manufacturer, but they're loosely based on the hemi. you won't find a single toyota part on that car, just as you won't find a single oem part on any of the other pro class cars out there.

I some what disagree with what you said..its more like no oem parts are used in the engine program...Pro Stock cars sometimes use oem headlight assemblies and the dash inside the car resembles the oem dash..just wanted to add that...and if the Celica has been around for about a year now as a Funny Car body. Gary Scelzi was the first driver in a Toyota bodied Celica Funny Car..now Jerry Toliver is running it and I think they are going to be getting a title sponsor soon.

yeah ps does use non-function oe headlights as decoration, so i guess you're technically right. but the fg/cf dashes they run are no more original equipment, than the cf body they attach to the chassis.

I also like the fact that the black *cough* Toyota, has NO evil sponsor stickers on it, (yet).

A blank canvas to some, and an eye-pleaser to others.

Just a thought.

Honda America has been involved in the Import Racing scene forever now. Helping out Steph, Adam and a lot of other racers with cars and parts. You think the AEM car would have a big Honda Factory Performance Sticker on the windshield if they were not helping us out. My hats off to Honda for their involvement in the sport.
