Forgot to put washer back on with oil bolt....is it still good to go?
Well....I did an oil change yesterday and in the rush to finish, I forgot to put the washer back on the oil bolt. Will it leak oil?? I tighten it really well. I dont feel like draining all the oil just to put the washer back on.

It's not gonna kill it but it could leak, even more so if you have always used a washer and your using a steel pan which sometimes will pull out over time at the bolt bung.
i did that one time and it had a small leak (drip). i ended up taking the bolt out and put my finger in the hole to keep all the oil from draining out, put the washer on and reinstalled the bolt. i had to put about a half a quart back in to top it off, but like 743 said dont overtighten the bolt.
you need the washer or else the bolt will loosen and leak.
i got my oil changed at a honda dealership once because i was in a hurry before an auto-x, the dumbass that changed it left the washer off. i got home from the auto-x and everything seemed normal, the next day i go out to my car and theres oil covering the floor, i thought i blew something at the auto-x. so i jack it up, look under there and first thing i notice is the washer missing and oil dripping out from the drain.
