Default Brake Line Bracket

So why is the brake line bracket important? Before anyone tells me to search, I did. I now know that it's a bad idea to not have a bracket for the brake lines (on the shock body) but why? Is it a problem that occurs over time just by stressing the lines or what? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but you guys seem to be the most intelligent on here and seem to give the most straight forward answers. Thanks in advance.

I would say it is to keep the brake line from getting caught on any of the parts that are moving around in that general area.

Rubber brake lines don't like to be crimped, and SS lines don't like to rub on stuff. It's a good idea to secure the line somewhere, but you don't have to retain the OEM mount.
