Need Help!!! Please!!
Hello
I am new to the new hotrods I am still kindof an old muscle car guy. So I am very new to this and dont know crap about these new cars. Here is where I need some help. I just bought a 2004 Honda Civic and it has the 1.7 liter in it. I am trying to figure out how to add horsepower and how much I can add with differant parts. The book says it has about 115 hp @ 6100 and I am trying to get about 150 to 200 If that is possible, Is it?
Can anyone help this dummy?

Exhaust, header and cold air intake are the best things to start with. That should get you into the 130-ish range. Getting it to 150-200 isn't easy (nor cheap) without forced induction.
You might consider making it a good handling car in the corners instead. There are lots of parts (coilovers, anti-sway bars, tires, etc) that can make the car feel like it's stuck to the road. I race a 2000 Civic Si and though my car is already in the 160-170 hp range I'm still not fast in the straights. In the corners though, the Civic can be made to shine!
IM me if you needany more help.

OK so what your saying is 150-200 might be too high. Ok I will start with what Blue Si said. Now what are some good sites to get these parts?
Blue SI, I might take you up on the email offer
Thanks I appreciate it!!!!

a cold air intake will give you 5-8 hp but the more air you give the car the more
you have to free up in the exiting the car if you add a less restrictive muffler it will increase hp to 10-15 hp
