Default Car works, no light on ecu

There are now blinking lights on my ecu, does this mean that there is nothing or something wrong?

head gasket has nothing to do with the car staying on... neither does your battery cables being loose as the car is ran by the alternator once the car is on... the cables just need to be tight so you have no problems starting the car. If you have no light on the ecu that means you have no codes... if the car starts and runs with the ecu.. chances are the ecu is good and you have a loose ground wire... the one that grounds on thermostat is my guess. check all 3
