This is no B.S. the new NSX was at VIR for a photo shoot. There were a total of 3 that were being photographed/tested.

HOW do I know? Well my girlfriend works for this photography company here in Greensboro, NC and one of their photographers from Cali flew over to take the photo's for Acura at VIR. She processed the prints with some other photographers. She called me and thought is was a 360 Modena *styling hint*

She is going to try to snag a print or make an extra copy for me. As soon as I get it I'll share.

Don't move it... everytime something GOOD gets posted it gets moved... Leave it, the NSX has Type-R heart in it.

Hey, there is apicture of the new NSX in Car and Driver i saw it at the airport. I believe it is pushing 300-400 BHP, looks a bit like a 360.

 

Here is the new NSX. This is from artist that drew up the new NSX..notice the Acura logos and CA. plates. This was put out over 2 months ago when the car was being tested in Japan..more then likely there here testing emissions and allowing mags to drive it before the car goes into production next month. The NSX in Japan will have 290hp 3.2 litre engine. I don't have #'s on torque but they have been increased I've been told a goodbit. There are some JGTC teams already testing this car in Japan for next yrs season of racing.





I posted these pics last month..but they been circulating in some of the rumor mags for about a month before. This is the drawing actually sent to Acura for approval around 4-5 months ago. NSX Type R is suppose to make appearance around Jan-Feb. will have all the reg. NTR trim as the old NTR but with 300+hp

I believe the V8 won't come out for another 2 yrs. The new NSX and NTR are basically getting customers ready for whats yet to come.

Rumor has it that new car can be fitted with V6 and V8 motors. The V8 motor is said to be pushing into the 350-400hp power ranges...but I believe it will become an ulimate desicion will be do they think NA will pay more for V8 and just do really high tuned V6 for now and build it up till they decide to drop in the V8 which could mean the V8 could be got in other countries first before the US verison...also I'm sure emissions will also play role in that as well...so watch the UK as if they get a V8 there were sure to get one as both NA and UK emissions stds are very close now.

 

this is suppose to be the 2002 that will be out shortly? hmm i guess the al. frame is the same, and maybe they just "reskin" the outside...

I don't believe it just a reskin alot of everything been redone to better suit everything. There is still no word if there will be a Type Zero version or not. I believe they will next yr or so put out NSX T with the removal top..they where really popular around here...even though they weighed more. Ever since I got to drive a 98' black NSX with with around 10 grand of NA mods on it..I was just blown away..and wanted the car ever since. The new NTR is supposely to be show cased at the TAS in Jan. which means it probably will hit the shows rooms shortely there after. But seems like there will be around 500 made..and around qtr those for sure will be bought up by racing teams.

 

I thought the 2002 NSX is like an interim model until the "complete" redesign due later?

It's my opinion that this even when they do the total redesign the outer shell probably won't look much difference then this as polls show customers really like the looks. I believe most of the updates with be chassis developed under the new skin..and probably uptodate of the rear tail section and slight modifcations of the front. But most of the changes will be unseen as in the chassis and suspenion and of course engine..I'm hoping they bring HID's to the NSX this yr to NA...hell the RL or Legend has them why not the NSX.

 

I hope your girlfriend doesn't get in SHIIT for that Pic, It doesn't show much but that'll **** an executive off big time.

Sorry to let you guys down but there are no pix When she got to work every single pic that wasn't used was shredded into micrscopic pieces. Even the photographer took those pieces. She said her had nothing of the NSX.
