Sounds like a good start. A cam will generaly make like 10+ HP.
On a y8 head I've seen up to around 20 advertised. I dont know how much a P&P or larger throttle body make.

You should throw a turbo on that bad boy.

it is a very good plan i would also go with a clutch but that is just me you sould gain about 25hp with that combo the clutch just helps get the power from th motor to the wheels better
