do i need a relay to make v-tec work
i was would i don't need a relay to make my v-tec kicik in on my 89 civic si single
v-tec this is how i was told to run
red wire- goes to the battery
black wie- goes to a body ground
white wire- goes to negative side of coil
yellow wire- goes to v-tec solenoid
grey wire- not used
NOw i was also told that the msd is giving an ground and i need a pos and was told to us a relay for that now can some tell what do to do thanks

because OBD1 takes the fun out of it
you could use a relay, the selonoid dosent take much power so you really dont need to, but if you have a relay handy go for it

well if he is using the MSD RPM switch he is going to need a 30amp relay. The MSD switch has a negitive trigger, so the relay has the 12 volts and when the MSD activates it triggers the ground and v-tec will engage because its a complete circuit. Willing to bet cash is the major draw right now. I drove for a year on a Z6 with a PG7, never had any problems from it how much strong h/p wise I heard seat of the pants only, never seen any graphs, so that may be true but how much never seen/heard.
