Do a conversion or check on ebay, I see them there more often than anywhere else.

By the way, welcome to Honda-Tech.

Thanks for the welcome! My friend just bought a RHD type r clip from randdmotorsports for the front end conversion. He has the dash, firewall, etc. I kinda want a real jdm rhd gsr but I might have to settle for the conversion. But for now I'm holding out for the real deal...

There was no GSR in Japan, it was called the SirG. Also, the hassle of making it legal in the united states is much more than most people want to deal with. It's usually easier and more cost effective to just do a conversion.

Hmm any idea how much work is involved? Not sure whats all involved. Also what other appearance differences does the SirG have from the USDM model? Thanks...

I know there are a couple of people here on Honda-Tech that can get you one. One guy I know of (can't remember his username) used to hang out in the ITR forum a lot, but I can't remember the last time I saw him post. I think it was fairly recently though.

There was one for sale on http://www.jdmshit.com not too long ago. One difference that nobody pointed out yet is the ABS, and i havent seen one yet that has a wing either.

if your talking about the white one in treasure island, thats me, but unfortunately i don't work at the shop anymore and is to busy to deal with all that is needed to get them over and registered, the importer i go through does not want to deal small cars, (he would rather make money on high dollar exotics) so nomore rhd for me to sell, but i'm trying to convince my other friend to deal with the importer and paper work. shoot me an email at sakimadiki@hotmail.com i'll save it and if i ran across one i will let you know.

btw i still hang out in itr forum, just that i have not posted as much as before

"One difference that nobody pointed out yet is the ABS, and i havent seen one yet that has a wing either."

everything is optional over there, even the sunroof is optional, i believe mine came with the "sport package" came with lsd, wing, abs, and the 3rd brake light cover"integra"

hint... most abs are lsd also, so if your looking to buy a clip look for abs, chances are they have lsd.

I had a genuine JDM Si-VTEC (same lights as USDM GSR 94-98) It came with ABS and a torsion LSD. It has slightly higher compression than the GSR and it also had the amber side markers, but other than that its identical to the GSR (in that everything that bolts onto a GSR bolts on to an Si-VTEC) SiR-Gs are the JDM headlight teg made from 96 onwards. The JDM SiR is the same as the Si-VTEC (i have no idea why they changed the name as nothing changed whatsoever between the Si-VTEC and SiR!

its because you have a factory spolier. they used the wiring for the 3rd brake light to power the led brake light.

anyway thats how it is on my car.

No thats not true, my friend has a JDM Si-VTEC with OE spoiler with integrated brake light (which works) and his high level light works, its most likely a blown bulb or loose wire somewhere along the line
