HELPPPPPP PLEASE I CANT TAKE IT NO MORE
i said this before no help
when i stop at a light, my RPM will go way down close to 0 and then it'll rev up to 2000 and then to 0...after a while it will just die
occasionally when i drive the car the car will just die and the ''check engine'' light will come on but after i re-start the car, the ''check engine'' light is no longer there and the car runs normally . i left the car running for about 3 mins. when i came back the car was off
another thing is that my gas gauge will show half tank when a while ago it's 3/4 full, after while it becomes 3/4 again.
also when cruising my car will starts jerking then it dies.
sometimes, when i can sense the car is dying when idling, i just step on the gas to keep it running.
manthis problem is killing me i look like an idiot, really hope i can get some good advice real soon!

Sounds like you may have a TPS or fast idle sensor dead.. There is a jumper wire underneither the driver's side dash behind the climate controls, it looks like an electrical plug that isn't pluged into anything.. Next time a check engine light comes on, turn the car off (on ACC) and plug a paper clip into the two prongs (you won't shock youself, trust me). Now look up at your check engine light and watch how it blinks.. short blinks mean a number for each blink..
4 blinks = code 4
8 blinks= code 8
If it is a long blink, that means add 10..
1 long blink +3 short blinks = code 13
Get it?? Give that a try, there are up to 25 codes I think, once you get the code, we can help you out better... Good luck

On 92 and newer Preludes, the harness behind the center console exists... but not on pre-92 Preludes... You should be able to lift up the carpet in the passenger footwell, and look at the LED on the ECU... Here's a website with a little more info...
