Default car goes WAAAA when i try to start it

ok when i go to start the car it goes "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!" (i'll record a sound clip of it hopefully tonight) some friends think it may be because the flywheel may be missing a couple teeth and the starter isnt' grabbing??? idk what, but it's really pissing me off. any ideas??

oh yeah, forgot to mention, it doesn't start when it goes "waaa" lol

It may be ur alternator, if u take it out pepboys test it for free. Im not a pro or anything but if its taking that long i would believe its start, or alternator related

a shop once said it was the starter overheating which is complete bullshit since it'll do this even if i come back to the car after a week without driving it when it's below freezing out.

but i dont see why it would be the alternator, it just sounds like something's not catching and it's just spinning. does anyone have a layout of how the whole thing starts?

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=175108https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=130332Well, uhm, If the starter is grinding your flywheel, the teeth don't have the right dimensions so you need to change brands of starters.
