ok i didnt drive my car for bout 3 days.........the last day i drove it, it wasnt makein any noise......now 3 days later i start it up and it has i light knokin noise but it doesnt sound like a rod......im guessin that one of the valves r stickin or somethin cause when i put my ear up to the valve cover i can hear the noise real good right above the # 1 cylinder but i cant realy hear the noise toward the bottom end of the motor......can someone help me out.thanx!!!!

 

o ya the noise goes away when it warms up

 

you may hear some valve tap or slight piston slap when first starting up the car in colder weather. but once it hits full temps and you still hear it, then you may want to look into a valve adjustment. you said it goes away after hitting full temp., so it shouldn't be something to be very concerned about. maybe just keep an ear open for it.

 

actually my car only gets barely above the c on the temp gauge... i think that is because the thermo sensor in the head is messed up or somethin cause i have already chaged the thermostat..i dont know it is weird that it just started doin that after i didnt drive my car for a few days

 

well never mind i figured out that it was just a loose spark plug...im a dumbass
