Default hondata experts p72 question

i need to get a hondata for my all motor h23, i want to run and p72 so i can still try and use my knock and egr making the p72 my only choice. My question is, and i did search, does it have to be an obd1 p72, or are they basically the same once hondata chips them and you burn a program onto them?

it has to be an obd1 p72 for hondata to work on it. And the p72 aint gonna keep ur egr working, it doesn't have provisions for it.

do your cars still pass emissions without an egr?? I thought the p72 had the egr valve anyways?

with an H23, I would just go with a P74 or something cheaper.

You dont have vtec, who needs IAB's, and **** knock....

I am a Hondata dealer and i do recommend going with the p75 ecu. When using the p72 you can just tune the low map and make it work for your application but you will not beable to make the egr work because the ecu doesn/t read it. As far as the knock sensor is concerned if your car is tuned properly and the air/fuel ratios are good you really won't need the knock sensor.

Dont waste all that money on a P72 ECU, you don't have Vtec, so there really isnt a need for it. Save some money and go with a P75.
tuning is the Key anf the light of your salvation!!!!

If it doesnt read the egr then does that mean that it wont throw egr related codes?
