Riddle me this Type R boys.......
Ok, a good friend had a '01 NBP ITR, but he got hit head on and it is totalled.....None the less he had JUST put on new toyo tires, so his stock ITR tires had about 400 miles on them when he took them off, and he is offereing to sell them to me, he told me to name aprice. MY Questions are as follows:
I have a '00 Si with Yokohama Paradas (I hate them and just sold them):
Should i buy these tires to put on my stock 15" Si wheels?
Are these tires any good to begin with (potenza's)
Shoudl i save my money and buy a High performacne tire?
What shoudl my asking price be?
thanks guys, any thoughts or input on the stock tires would help! love them or hate them?

Ask for about $100 each.. I think that's fair enough. considering it is new..
(and you don't want to eat your friend, right?)
um.. totaled R, eh? any parts he is going to sell?
is he buying it back from the insurance?

insurance claimed it unfortuantaly........i was about ready to rape him of his seats! and we wanted his engine for a swap but that got crinkled
SO would you reccommend going with these tires for $100 each or getting a different tire for roughly $20 more

If you are panning to drive your car in snow or even heavy rain, forget it the potenzas suck for that... but on dry roads they are great. I put on a set of Michelin XGTs for the winter time...they are good in the rain.. but suck when compared to the Potenzas in dry weather driving.
Yeah, for dry, I love the RE010..
if you're not gonna get it, tell him that I'll pay $300 for the set. hehe..
(too bad I am not his friend, or else....)

Uhhhhh ... the RE010's are strictly a summer tire. You are insine if you drive them in the winter time. Anything near 30 degrees and you are pushing it!!
They turn into hocky pucks. If you need winter driving, go with something else.
I'll but the RE010's from yuor friend. Let me know

I agree offer him arouind 300. The tires are great, but I would avoid the snow even though I was in teh snow once with mine and had no issues.
