Looking to reduce weight. Thinking of taking out the AC since I never use it and PS because imo I 'feel' the road more. Anything else that you guys have 'cleverly' removed for strategic weight reduction? All of this is from my Gsr.
Not sure if this helps, but I removed the entire A/C system from my '90 GS - (Compressor, Condensor, evaporator, and all piping). I'd say that 60-80lbs were removed. I've kept PS, simply because I can't imagine manouvering the car at slow speeds easily without it. There are lots of things to do to remove weight, its just a question of how much do you want to strip down the car.
no PS is a bitch when trying to turn into a parking space but eventually u'll get used to it. I don't think i can live without AC though specially during Cali summer. It's all a matter of preference for you. u might try taking out the spare tire and buying a can of fix-a-flat.
With 215 A032R's its almost UNSAFE! There are methods to make it a little easier....search around....good luck.
BTW...it IS too hot! Oh welll....it was worth the $500!!

Remember that a car designed without PS from the factory will be ALOT different than removing the "power" from a rack designed for it. just FYI. You wont know unless you try it. Remove just the belt...and see how you like it.

I took mine off a few months ago. At first, I couldn't even park without putting some major muscle in it. Now I am used to it, but I still have to pay attention and turn the wheel ahead of time, or pay later.
The steering feel at higher speeds it GREAT

The power steering system on my car weighed right around 16 lbs. including the fluid in the reservoir. I'm assuming the rest of the Integra family is very similar in terms of the weight of the system.
Not sure where the squeeking came from on your car but a number of people, including myself, have removed the belt for a period of time and then re-installed it with no problems whatsoever. Steering effort will be slightly higher than if you remove the entire system but leaving the fluid in actually benefits the system by keeping it lubricated.
when you take just the belt off you have to drain the fluid too. Other wise it will **** up and start to squike when you put it back on.
do NOT drain the fluids. It lubricates the PS system. If you drain it, yes effort will decrease, but you'll ruin the system.
