Default 5th gen side skirts

Are the SH sideskirts the same as the base except just painted? Or are they different? I want to get color matching side skirts but wondering if I should just paint them or buy SH sideskirts.

The base has NO side skirts. But you can put the SH side skirts on a base they bolt on. It's just a big plastic part.

they are the same damn thing, just the SHs have it painted to the vehicle color, and the base has black rough side skirts.

ditto. when i put on the optional oem kit, I had to remove the old skirts so the new ones could go one.

They are not the same. Unless all the ones at the dealer I went to had no skirts on them at all. Or maybe the stock non SH skirts are really small, and the SH ones are bigger, and hange lower. There was definitely a difference other than collor.

yeah it would be cheaper to just paint them... i guess even cheaper if you painted them yourself, given that your a good painter, otherwise a body shop shouldnt ask for too much to paint them skirts.

or buy the ever so looked for OEM skirts from Tekwon-V

They are not the same thing! The base has striaght black plastic skirt, while the SH or after-market OEM skirts are painted and have a completly different look to them (the SH/OEM AM have a aero curve to them and are slightly lower then base skirt). See H and A accessories for a breakdown.

no u are wrong..it is not that hard to understand, there is the stock black or colored sides and rear valance, then there is an optional OEM lip kit that hangs lower and it painted the color of the car....

I don't know about yours, but mine are different and if you look at the pics you will notice a different design.

the picture from the first link is the OPTIONAL OEM sideskirt, NOT the SH side.

the2nd link, i couldnt open.

and the 3rd link's list, which indicates "no color", this is the black piece that comes on the base model.

SH side is same thing as the base one but just body-colored.
