question about distributor plugs...
i had bought a set of plug wires for my 91, and it came with 5.. but my cap only has four..
so are the newer tegs have the 5 plug caps? and if so, what is the 5th plug for?

dont forget that you have an internal coil
so if you upgrade lets say to a
MSD ignition coil it goes ooutside the distributor
so thats when you need the 5th wire
to hook up the coil...
using a 8290 cap with the 5th post.

I believe F Series motors have four spark plugs plus an additional wire for external coil, which comes stock...

better yet a
6a+ msd ignition.
and yes you could use the 5th wire...
ps
insulate your wires very well so that you dont have
trouble starting your car..
