well i bought a 90 honda accord and the person i bought it from told me he did a motor swap and put a 94 engine in it .. but im not sure .. so i want to make sure what motor i have casue im going to by parts for the motor like an overhaul kit and headers can somone tell me how i can figure out what motor i have

 

in the area of your headers, just to the left. you should see f22b2 or other depending...

 

does it read vtec on the engine when you look at it---that will be a start

 

the 4th gen accords dont come with vtec....

if its from a 94, itll be a F22b series engine........if the top of the valve cover says VTEC or the spark plugs are on teh front side of the valve cover (towards the headlighs), then its a F22B1.......if it just says honda motor company and teh spark plugs are in teh back, then ist s F22B2

 

Or you could look at the place where the serial # is stamped into the block. Between the exhaust manifold & the tranny bellhousing.
