Sounds to me like a rod bearing is going out.

Def sounds like a rod bearing. I just had the same thing happen to me. I thought I might have bent a valve but once I removed the head and saw that everything was 100%, it was easily ruled out as a rod bearing. Always check your oil!

So did you change out the rod bearings only or did it do any damage to the crank or rods? AlsoDo u guys think it might be a bad oil pump??????Will a bad oil pump make this kinda sound...the sound seems to be coming from under the cyclinder number 1..thats why i thought that it might be the oil pump...let me know

The noise in my motor was also coming from the #1 cylinder. The oil pump wouldn't necessarily make any noise... except your rod bearings when it's not pumping enough oil throughout the motor to keep it properly lubed.

so did u fix urs already?????....I think I over torque the rod bearing caps and the main bearing caps...cause after i assemble the motor.....the crank was hard to turn...i mean hard....i had to use a long *** breaker bar to get that damn thing to turn....I thought it was fine but i guess i was wrong....but oh well i guess i learn my lesson....

cehck the oil for metal i would def drop the oil pan and pop the rod caps and check the bearings. If its that you porbably need a new crank or have yours polished.do not even start the car or your gunna kill your motor
