Default ls/vtec in a 90 integra

I am having a problem with my ls/vtec in a 90 integra it has a type r pistions, and the normal stuff for ls/vtec, except the type r manifold, I did the vaccum as the stock stuff it works find but it will not hold idle. I am using 94+ IAC valve, and throttle body with cold start valve the ( the thing on the bottom). I cannot get this thing to idle at all when it is under 1k it bogs and dies.

The things I might think it is either

stock ls computer( using until pr3 comes in)
distrubour is broken ( ls one the legs are cut)
IAC valve not compatible
compression

anyone have suggestions or comments that can help

thanks

Check the basic things first before you start replacing stuff, such as all battery grounds and make sure they are tight, check idle rpm and compare to stock specs found in service manuals, adjust as needed, check cam timings and adjust to stock, check ignition timing and adjust to stock timing, check distrubitor igniter and make sure its in working condition (the igniter can cause a lot of start up problems).

Sometimes its the basic things that cause so much trouble.
