I WAS driving at around 85 MPH and taking a turn, than all of sudden she lit up like a minora!!! My ******* engine is stock right now!!! ive already checked the oil and **** like that everything appears to be fine. Someone help please!!!! any suggestions????
Calm down - you have a 2001 GSR, so your warranty is still effective. If the car is running fine and the dealer isn't too far away, just take it to them and they'll fix it for you. If you want to fix it yourself, you could look up the code of the error and find out what's going on, but if it were me, I would take advantage of the free warranty service.

yeah im calm. no i havent checked the code, dont have the right equiment. i will call the dealer now. just thought u guys would have some suggestions being that dealers are usually ********
to check the ecu code, all you need is a paperclip or a piece of wire... check the code on the internet... i can almost bet that you didnt tighten the fuel cap all the way... all you have to do is reset the ecu...

hmmm, explain what... but if you want to reset the ecu which will clear the code, just disconect the battery for a couple of minutes for all systems to loose charge... then hook it up and you are set to go... if you want to check the code, find the green connector under then glove gox... run a wire between the 2 pins.. basically open the circuit... start the car up and read the flashed on the check engine on the dash... read a chart on a website like tiite.b16.com or cspeed.com to find the error... but make sure the fuel cap is tight... if you switch to odb1, you wont have to worry bout it...
