Here is a wierd one: Car has been running perfect till the weather hit below zero. Now when I turn the car over it starts and runs, but when I let go of the key, the car dies. I have checked the fuel pump and the dist./wires/spark plugs, and everything checks. I have fuel and spark, but cannot keep the car on, after I let go of the key. I think it may be the ignition relay, but I need a second opinion before accepting defeat and brining it into a shop. Any info. would help. Thanks in advance

My crx did that a year ago, in m case it turned out to be the ignition switch itself, the spring inside got screwed...and when I let go of the key...it was kicking it back too far to the "off" position. Take the plastic covering off the steering column, and remove the switch from behind the lock cylinder and take a look at it. (beware if you take it apart, there's lots of little parts in there that might not go together right. I just used a screwdriver in it and removed the retainer spring... Anyhow..something to look at.
Does it stay on if you hold the key there? if so I'd guess that was your problem, it was a really easy replacement in the crx....I'd assume the same for the integra.

Yes it does stay on when I hold the key. It runs fine, as long as I hold the key. So you think that's the problem? I will check that out. Thanks again. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks PlastikOwl, that was definitely the problem. Now I just need to replace that plastic cap and retainer spring. Thanks again.

np.. it might be easier though to just replace the whole switch...it's just a connector clip into your fusebox on the other end.... (shows you how easy it is for shitbags to bypass it).. less work than trying to get the damn spring in there correctly with the switch layered correctly
