Default Angel Eye Projectors

I was curious if anybody has installed the HID setup on their Angel Eyes, and if so were there any problems with fitment because the H3 HID bulb looks much longer than the factory H3 bulb. Also what does the beam pattern look like and how many other drivers have you offended as swwing that they are sooo bright . Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated.

As long as the focal point is the same, you don't have to worry about glare. It is the crappy homemade HID kits that have incorrect focal points that throw glare -- that's why HID was outlawed: stupid people more concerned with having bling-bling lights. I have HIDs because they legitimately put out more light (a safety item). Mine have the correct focal point.

HID upgrade kits were made illegal on August 15th, 2003. HID lighting is still okay if it is OEM on the car (hence using correct assemblies).

Yes, it is a federal law. I doubt cops are really pulling people over for it, but if you have a state with those 'inspections', you'll fail instantly.

HIDs are supposed to have a cut off line (to reduce glare) if you look at it there is a line of where the light cuts off, the projector projects the light and making it brighter and concentrated all the while reducing the glare. I dont know how the actual projector makes that line though, anyone have info on this? I would imagine there is a built in shield that makes a cut off.

The capsule (sometimes even the headlamp assembly) has a special shield.

Here is a good cut off...see how everything above the line doesn't glare versus:

Do you see the difference, although HID in general produces more light than regular halogen, the fact that it does it needs to have less glare and its more beneficial to the driver to have a concentrated beam on the ground and use that extra light instead of shining at the sky. I am still researching getting projectors, although haven't come up with any...I have a 4th gen accord w/halogen lamps HID.

DAMN!!! now i see the different since someone finally put it so I can understand it. Thats a great pic comparo, all them other comparo's sucked. Wow! I really like the second pic output but it really would suck to be the car in front of you or the on coming one! Would adding like some lower cut eyebrows do the job?

The FET-USA kits were recalled by the fed for glare, HIDs kits have not been made illegal.

Nice picture comparison, but still didn't answer the initial question. How do they look with the angel eyes? I was considering putting HIDs in my angle eyes too.

Angel Eyes are purely cosmetic..the only funtional part is the projector which you can get with or without the angel eyes..The little rings you see around your projectors do not affect the light beam..

Alright IMO angel eyes were meant for BMW's, some cars look good with AE but with a bright HID you probably won't see the AE. Now you wire them to your parking lights so I guess it would look ok with the parking lights on but once you fire up them HIDs you probably wont see the AE unless its a different color. There its been answered to the best of my knowledge.

Depth from HID's or angel eyes? HID will exceed any halogen bulb and as far as angel eyes they are: <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by bagged93accord &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
