Default problem with my prelude

I have a 98 base and I have a weird problem with my car. When I take the car out of gear to come to a stop the car idles down really low the battery light comes on and it dies, but if I have the headlights on it does not die? I have asked this question on many other boards and I have yet to find a solution. I have changed spark plugs plug wires cap and rotor lately.

Whats your idle, with accessorys off, when fully warmed up?

Turning on your headlights normally raises your idle about 1-200 RPM's...That may just barely be keeping it from dying...Try adjusting the idle screw....

my idle is 650 which is normal idle for the car, another thing it does before the car dies the battery light comes on.

if it was his alternator.. he would eventually not be able to start his car......

try raising the idle needle a lil.... 'n give it a lil spin.... but u should noe thats not the full solution.....
