Default rotors scraped up.

ok so ive been having some bad noises coming from my brake rotors lately, figuring id replace 'em soon. well, i drove home from school today, and there was this terrible metal on metal grinding coming from the brakes... i get out and look at the rotors, and the top layers are being shaved off by some sort of metal, i dont know what.. ill post pics tomorrow and hopefully get around to fixing it this weekend, but has anyone had this problem? (ive got brembo slotted rotors with hawk hp pads)

They are getting shaved off by the pad, or what used to be some padding. When was the last time you changed your pads?

pads have ~25-30k on them.. there was no squeeling as pads would normally do when theyre worn down, this just all of a sudden happened..

the pads could be off angle or somewhat.

That metal scraping is the indicator that you really need to change your pads. Be careful since it might get caught in the slots of your brembos and crrrrrack.... well just be careful and change it soon.

im not that much of a n00b you know that sound when you're driving through thickass snow? (well, idk if many of u have done this lol) well, my rotors make that same sound, and theres hardly any vibration in the pedal, which is weird, cuz youd think since/if the rotors are warped, the pedal would vibrate, but it doesn't. it just makes that really strange sound.
