I think HIGH REVIN motors are more dope then turbo kits these days.
To answer your question; It will take some engine work.

lol well ok i know engine work and i know like rods(crower is wut i would pick) and more compression(12:5.1or more i dont know wut would u all sugg.) which cams(juns, crower skunk2, toda???) would u all suggest and what type of valvetrain??
all motor newbie here ... so go easy on me. i'm reading and learning.
isn't a ctr motor just an itr motor destroked to 1.6 so it can spin higher? would destroking a gsr motor with a serious valvetrain allow me to see 10000? i'm kind of an rpm junkie ... as pointless as it is.
i tried searching about destroking but came up completly empty.

put in a new ecu with a 10k redline and rev the **** out of it.
id say you should do a bit more research before u start jumping into a project just to reach a 10k redline. its gonna cost a shitload of money to make a motor rev to 10k and be SOMEWHAT reliable.. (ur still gonna have a shitload of problems) all i can say is tuning is ur friend.

aftermarket rods like eagel ($300) or crower ($500)
some forged pistons $500
banlance rotating assembly ($160)
the head will nead cams that will make power to 10 k like skunk2 stage 3's or something like that ($700)

There was just a post about this in the same section. Go check it out and download the video in the link. Pay close attention to the monster block girdle on the B-series engine in the video.
all you really need is good~reliable valvetrain, a well balanced botom end, good harmonic balancer, cam's designed to peek at that given power point, and a good induction system.
Mine did, but it gave away too much mid-range. Going from an ITR IM and 70mm TB to a Victor X IM with a 74mm TB. And I have to agree that most street motors don't make power that high, but it just sounds cool to say "my engine revs to 10 grand!"

ive only seen one race motor that makes power there. i havent seen a cam you can buy off the shelf make power at 10k. the highest peak ive seen is around 9 -9.2.

The video I was referring to goes into a little detail on this matter. It's hard as hell to read the subtitles but you may want to check it out, I thought it was somewhat interesting.
