ok well, thought it was my head gasket, i got collant leaking around the a/c bracket when im at a stand still and crap..... well i drained my radiator fluid, and it seemed coo, no discolor to it, or to my resevoir or radiator cap, drained the oil, and it was as black as can be, so do u think its my headgasket? wouldnt it be watered down the oil>? still felt liek oil and was as black as oil help me, save some money from taking the head off if it dont need to be!!!, i think i just need a new waterpump what do u think>>>>????

 

Get a leakdown test. I had the same situation, no simptoms other than lower than usual power, higher temperature readings, uneven cylinder pressure readings. I was uncertain about the head gasket thing so I took it to a friend who works at the dealership and ran a leakdown on the car. Sure enough, bad gasket. Like you, my car's coolant was clean as was the oil.
