finally picked up one of the last pieces to my new toy..

Turbo XS - RFL type BOV. (rfl - real ******* loud) - full blow off at 2200 rpm haha, granny shift and give anyone a heart attack..

I picked it up for $200 canadian with warrenty new in box, never used.. excited to put it on..

and how does it compare to say, a greddy type s? not sound, but quality and performance? i dunno the right way to put it but the BOV controls boost and a shitty BOV can take it's toll on your boost....

type-h-rfl - the rfl stands for real ******* loud, which is not printed anywhere on the box, for legal reason, damnit!!

I have friends with all types of blow off valves, greddy type-s, hks sequential, blitz, and the second loudest turbonetics super sonic or something, out of all of them, this bov hits harder at 2500rpm compared to there full shift point.. meaning when I granny shift, it blows off louder then when they redline..

hehe that camera is like 8 years old, sony mavica 1.2 megappixels haha..

you should try to get a recording of ur blow off valve when its installed? cuz i heard there the loudest.. its illegal in some states i heard cuz its so loud.. like the states that do that noise ordinance with peoples systems and stuff..

but i wanna hear one... cuz my friend has a supra and he's bout to get a BOV and he's thinkg HKS SSQ.. or get a video and get the sound part of it.. hehe

My friend has one in his 3000GT VR4, honestly it sounds bad to me cuz its so loud.. its like a BUSHHHhh It doesnt sound like a normal BOV. Its wayy too ******* loud

 

yeah, its not the average whistle or nething, its like a straight wsategate noise only x20000.

Yes, it is VERY loud. My friend has two of them on his 300ZX TT. When he shifts hard, it sounds like a whip. It'll definitely scare people on the side of the road. When he just revs up, and it blows off, you can see all the sand/dust scatter underneath the car.

Thing is.....it isn't THAT loud when you don't get near redline.
