Honda and Acura Integras
Excuse me for being so ignorant on this subject, but what's the difference between an Acura Integra and a Honda Integra? Why is there 2 different names for it? I come from Cyprus and all we have here is Honda Integras, no Acuras...
By the way, I own a nice 91 Integra, with only intake/exhaust.
I'm new here but I really like this forum, nice to meet you guys!

well i guess the biggest difference would be the Honda Integra's are RHD.
they are pretty much the same for the g2 and g3 models up til 95 which is when the "jdm" front appeared in 96. remember that the g3 in japan started in 93 not 94, so the 93-95 had the four eyed style lights.
so basically its just acura is just a name, not to mention some US emissions crap that lost us some power...

Welcome to honda-tech.com, where we both are new at this. "Acura" is the "American Honda" in the US and Canada (i'm not sure where else). "Acura" is also known as the "richer Honda" in the US. As well as "Infiniti" being the richer "Nissan". "Lexus" the richer "Toyota". "Cadillac" the richer "Chevrolet/GM", etc.
Hope my useless information helps.

Alright! thanks a lot guys, now I get it! I'll post some pictures of my Integra soon. Its stock but I wanna make some mods so i'll just post them up for u guys to see and tell me what I should do with it.
Integras are Hondas, rebadged as Acura in North America. Regarding DC2s, there are differences between the JDM (Japanese Domestic Model) Honda Integras, UK Honda Integras, Australian Honda Integras and the Acura Integras. I'm not going to go into much detail tho, just that the JDM engines are tailored to the higher octane petrol in Japan, higher compression, and gearing is different. Also JDM integras have different front (flat headlights) from 1995~, and slight cosemtic differences between UK, Australian, and Acura tegs. Acura is to Honda as Lexus is to Toyota.

This is not necessary true. If you buy a Honda Integra in Germany, it will be a LHD car.

yeah, only integras (and cars in general) that are from japan or britain, or are USPS, are RHD.

I believe the response you're looking for is:
Acura is Honda's North American luxury division. Honda sells some of it's more luxurious cars under the Acura name in order to attact a different demographic.

That would be a good analogy if Cadillac made the same cars as Chevrolet b/ with different options and a new badge. Also, besides the XLR, most Cadillacs don't cost anymore than a Chevrolet.
