ITR made on NSX assembly line / hand built engine...
I was talking to someone, and they questioned that the ITR was made on the same assembly line as the NSX, and that the engines were hand made.
Where on the net is this info that I could show them?
Thanks

Cool link! I can't wait to get to work so I can read the whole thing.
I though in the ITR brochure or on the acura website about the ITR, it said something like "true race cars have hand built engines" or something like that...

The NS-X used to be made in the Suzuka, Mie factory as well. I was ther about ten years ago and saw one of the first NS-X Type R's ever built

The work will eventually get done...

I hate you!
It was pretty nice but I had to see from behind a fence and I couldn't get a good look at it...just the rear tails...my friend, who worked for Honda said that they had a prototype turbo NS-X call the NS-X Type RR, but it never made production.

Well in few months the new NSX and new R verisons which I think should come out first qtr of next yr.*probably in time for TAS* should be rolling off the lines soon.
I believe that last yr the B18C was hand polished was in 96. They do them now with machines as ncr are more actcurate.

Damn I bet the people there that can afford them probably got them all sold preordered or almost all them if theres not that many coming out.
Remember when Nissan came out with their so-called "CTR Killer"? It was a Nissan Pulsar 3 dr hatch that had a 1.6L NA engine that produced 200ps. Only 200 of those were made and were all sold to professional race teams and drivers on pre-order. Nobody in the general public got one.

Yeah I remember the Pulsars. Nissan also have the Sunny GTR I believe it was called with turbo engine pushing out some good #'s but they tended to loose power with there top mounted intercoolers. Where the Sunny or the Pulsars awd cars? I can't remeber I use to have UK book that listed it all but I think I've lost that book somewhere.
The Pulsar were FF...it was made to the same spec as the CTR so that they can compete in the same class. But I think that the CTR wound up still being faster on the courses.
Sunny GT-R sounds as if was the AWD, but I can't imagine ever wanting one. The Skyline is about he only thing good that Nissan makes nowadays...and now it seems that they're going screw that up too

Its good after a good tuning, but out of the box, its not so great! It averages low 14's on the 1/4...now considering the huge turbo that its got, that's pretty diappointing....tuned up, the car is awesome...but potentially any car car be fast after a good tuning.
that's it...thanks for remind me....Nissan Pulsar VZ-R NA1.... POS in the looks department though! Nissan has really got to work on thei styling points! I always like rooting for the underdog but it seems that Nissan's not even trying nowaday. They keep putting out shittyness after shittyness. And now the new Skyline has to be the hangman's noose that's going to kill the company.
