Default Safe to remove exhaust manifold heatshield?

My bro wants to remove the heatshield from his 95 Accord. 2 of the bolts heads are snapped off. It rattles at certain speeds and he just wants to remove it completely. Will the heat effect the performance or cause any danger to the bay?

Thanks!

I was told that it may help your manifold to crack. They said it's do to the heat exchange between the shield abd the mani. This is just a thought someone else had.

take it off , that manifold does not put out near the heat my header puts out and it has never affected mine.

I personally don't see the point of removing the heat shields until you you have an aftermarket header to install.
