Found a new Service Bulletin for all 02-03 RSX's
For all RSX owners...Type-S and base models 02-03
I have had this annoying brake sqeal for about 1-month now...Especially when coming down my driveway first thing in the A.M.
Well on the Interactive site today I found a bulletin on the RSX, 02-03 for a brake sqeal. I was searching for some info on that damn noise from my rear glass!
Anyway the bulletin is 03-037.
It states if an owner has brakes that sqeal in a 2002-2003 RSX and is still under warranty that the corrective action is to check the thickness and run-out of the front brake rotors and then machine them and/or replace them and install some new brake pads. It lists the brake pad number and of course it is the part that most dealers have now. When Acura updates a part like that they make the previous number unavailable.
This is not a recall or anything
Just some information for technicians to use as guidelines in correcting a problem for a clients vehicle. I thought it might be useful for the rest of the DC5 owners to know
FYI, the first two diits of a bulletin (03) are the year it was released, and the last three digits (037) indicate wich bulletin it is for that year.

Nice...
my breaks squeal too (on an ep3) and there's a TSB for it.
There's also one for the rattling that comes from my passenger seat area!
Looks like I'm taking my car in soon for the warranty work.

If within warranty, those are the guidelines that the dealer should follow....
Machine the rotors first then install new pads....If the rotors can't be machined to "OK" tollerances then replacemenmt is needed....
The dealers could say no if you have aftermarket pads on the car
